Commenting on reports that nearly 100 people got behind the wheel whilst over the legal alcohol limit last week during the icy weather, Liberal Democrat Justice spokesperson Robert Brown MSP said:
"It is deeply concerning that some motorists took to the road while over the legal alcohol limit in extremely dangerous driving conditions.
"It is also disappointing the number of drivers continuing to do this has not fallen drastically on last year.
"We must continue to hammer it home to drivers that getting behind the wheel when over the legal alcohol limit is not acceptable.
"It not only puts your own life at risk but the lives of others."
