Commenting on the Offshore Valuation Group report which has found that harnessing just a fraction of Scotland's potential offshore energy could meet electricity demands seven times over, Liberal Democrat Energy spokesperson Liam McArthur MSP speaking from the All Energy Conference said:
"This report lays bare the true extent of Scotland's offshore energy potential. Harnessing just a fraction of that resource could meet our electricity demands seven times over.
"Little wonder then that the record numbers attending the All Energy Conference in Aberdeen this week are so upbeat.
"The challenge now for all involved, however, is to make sure Scotland delivers on its potential as a world class hub for renewable energy."
